Yuri Shapochka

Yuri Shapochka emigrated from the Ukraine where as a Producer and Director for Ukrainian Television, he created documentary and popular TV programs that were shown throughout the country and abroad. Yuri has written for all media. A former full-time journalist, his stories and cultural insights have appeared in daily newspapers and magazines.

In 1997 Yuri and his business partner Steven Antselevich founded Aurora Productions, a powerful, full-service film and multimedia production company in Birmingham, AL. Since 2002 Yuri Shapochka has been working at Freeshape, Inc. as a Creative Director.

His current film projects include comedy "Ivan Goes Abroad" and a short dark comedy titled "High Expectations".

Yuri continues to live in Birmingham, Alabama, and he enjoys painting and photography.
