CAMERA OF CHOICE – A camera with a minimum of triple
½” chips with professional connectors, and video and audio
over-ride controls. A lens with super extreme wide and telephoto
focal lengths.
LIGHTS OF CHOICE - I was using a Lowel Omni kit with
lots of gels. Even though the video was processed in black
and white, I added a light on a dimmer with a green gel
below the computer screen that shined up on the subject’s
neck and chin helped give the subject a tired empty look.
Even though the lighting was basic it had to be controlled
to create a mood but in a natural way not to detract from
the story.
CAMERA WORK – Every shot in video or film must say
something as in still photography. There is no such thing
as “b roll”. Always ask the motivation is for each shot
and or scene from your writer or producer.
ACTORS – The people who did the acting took direction
well and were easy to work with and were sooo good looking!
